Our podcast class geared towards business, communications, and marketing professionals is designed to teach you the skills and strategies you need to succeed in today's competitive marketplace. From creating compelling content to building a loyal audience and generating leads, you'll gain practical insights and hands-on experience in all aspects of podcasting for business. By the end of the class, you'll have the tools you need to launch your successful podcast and take your business or career to the next level.

Podcasting: Storytelling for Writers, Producers + Filmmakers

Podcasts have emerged as a cost-effective and efficient means for writers and producers to test concepts, demonstrate creativity, create proof of concepts, and attract investment. By harnessing the power of storytelling in an accessible format, creators can showcase their vision, build audience engagement, and pave the way for future success in the competitive landscape of content creation. Taught by Robyn Greene Arrington, a movie and television executive, scripted executive producer at Paramount’s MTVE Studios, and consulting producer for Tubi's hit film "The Caregiver," this course is designed to provide practical insights and hands-on experience for writers, producers, and filmmakers looking to leverage podcasting to enhance their storytelling skills and expand their creative portfolios. You will learn the skills and strategies needed to create compelling content, build a loyal audience, and effectively use podcasting as a medium for storytelling. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the tools to launch a successful podcast and elevate your professional endeavors in storytelling.


Meet Jacqueline

Jacqueline N. Parke is an author, educator, content strategist, and the founder of Parke Podcast Academy. She has over 25 years of marketing, business development, and communications experience in the legal, sports and entertainment industries.

At the helm of her podcast production and marketing company Sweet G. Communications, she was the Executive Producer of HWTP Sports Talk with David Weinstein, featuring 5x Super Bowl champion Pepper Johnson – a podcast that discusses social issues with a sports focus.

She also produced The Luke Show with music pioneer Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell, among others. Jacqueline produced several proof-of-concept podcasts for Warner Bros. Discovery’s One-Fifty brand writers and producers. Other clients include Lawdragon, a nationally known legal publication, and Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, a nationally known law firm.


Jacqueline is the author of “The Podcast Handbook: Create It, Market It, Make It Great,” an academic book on everything you need to know about podcasting. She is also a Senior Instructor at Mercy University (Dobbs Ferry, NY), where she teaches a course she created called Podcasting: Creation and Strategy. Jacqueline holds a Master of Science degree in Communications from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Communications-Public Relations from Mercy University.


Sweet G. Communications is named in honor of Jacqueline’s mother, Gloria Parke (1940-2005). Sweet G. was the nickname given to her mother by her father, Keith Parke (1936-2017), a former CBS technician. Sweet G. Communications and the Parke Podcast Academy are owned and operated by JN Parke Enterprise LLC.

This handbook is a comprehensive overview of the burgeoning podcast industry. It covers the history of podcasting from its roots in radio; the variety of genres, topics and styles of today's podcasts (both individual and corporate); and the steps required to build your own podcast.


The handbook covers all the elements needed to create a successful podcast including platform options, programming, advertising and sponsorships. Supplemental essays from professionals in various industries provide information and tips to enhance the podcasting experience. The structure of the book is easily adapted into lesson plans, and the exercises included for readers make it a book well suited for classes on podcasting.
